JERRY FISH: 2015 Highlights

2015 has been the year of the Electric Sideshow!

Electric Picnic

The Sideshow kicked off this year at its usual location: Electric Picnic. The Sideshow lasted for three days with an amazing line-up including The Strypes, Sultans of Ping, Fight Like Apes, R.S.A.G., Maud in Cahoots and many, many more! Not to mention the incredible performance by the ringmaster himself including all the sideshow sweethearts.

The Late Late Show

Jerry, The Minutes, and R.S.A.G. gave Ireland a preview of what was to come at the Electric Sideshow On Tour with a legendary performance of "Barefoot And Free" on the Late Late Show!

Electric Sideshow On Tour

Jerry closed out 2015 with a bang - three incredible Electric Sideshow Tours in Cork, Dublin, and Limerick! With guests including The Strypes, The Minutes, Stomptown Brass, Johnny Stewart and many more, Jerry was able to bring the energy of his Electric Picnic stage to intimate venues to hold everyone over until next summer!

Big love to Jerry on an electric 2015!

The Late Late Show Performance

Ireland fell in love with The Strypes all over again after this killer performance of "Get Into It" on RTE 2's Late Late Show.

"Scumbag City" Video

Possibly our favorite video of the year! Directed by Finn Keenan, the video for Scumbag City is... delightfully disturbing with an amazing cameo by the band.

Little Victories Live Sessions

This performance speaks for itself! The Live Sessions have captured ears and eyes from all around the world, all impressed by the proof of The Strypes' incredible songwriting and genuine talent as musicians.

Olympia Theatre Show on January 30

Fair enough. The show isn't until 2016 but we're just so excited about it! And it counts that it's heading for a sell out in 2015, right? Right. Get your tickets while you can... before the new year!

Eurosonic

Kormac's Big Band had an amazing set at Eurosonic in the Netherlands with great reviews and huge responses to his performances of tracks from Doorsteps.

MAUD IN CAHOOTS: 2015 Highlights

To congratulate all of our acts on their hard work and success in 2015, we are bringing you their year's highlights up until New Year's Eve! First up is the lovely Maud in Cahoots...

Creative Minds at the US Ambassador's House

MiC kicked off their year with a performance at the US Ambassador's House as a part of the Creative Minds series. What an honour!

Maud & Co Take On North America

The four-piece made us all proud with their outstanding performances at Canadian Music Week and extra shows in New York, including one at the Rockwood Music Hall and one at the Irish Arts Centre.

"Greatest Achievement" Single

We adore this track! And the video that highlights some of MiC's live shows from 2015.

Ruby Sessions, Body + Soul, Indiependence, Electric Picnic

"Cure For The Crazy" Single

Nialler9 named "Cure" as one of his songs that deserved more plays in 2015 and we absolutely agree! We're so proud of what we think is their greatest single to date. Thanks to everyone who gave "Cure For The Crazy" a spin on the radio!

Hard Working Class Heroes

Maud in Cahoots were named one of the most anticipated acts of HWCH by Una Mullaly, The Last Mixed Tape and Nialler9 and they did not disappoint at The Grand Social!

Supporting Delorentos

The group closed out the year by supporting Delorentos on their Home Again tour. They played their debut show at Dublin's iconic National Concert Hall and blew away audiences! Thank you, Delorentos!

Congratulations, Maud in Cahoots, on an excellent year!

We can't wait to see what's in store for you for 2016.

Our Favorite Up & Coming Irish Acts for 2016

We know... we can't believe this year has already flown by and we're now headed into 2016! While we have a lot coming up in the new year with all of our acts, we are also excited about all the amazing music that has been coming out of Ireland this year. Here are some of the groups and artists we have high expectations for in the new year!

ELM

Elm are a five-piece group who are set to conquer 2016. The Dublin-based musicians bring a melancholic vibe to rock music, using cello and captivating vocals to create a sound that is sure to keep you listening. We first saw Elm performing at Hard Working Class Heroes just before our very own Maud in Cahoots. The group clearly made an impression at the festival not only with us and their audience but also with Robomagic's CEO Rob Hallett. Hallett spoke about the group during his panel at HWCH, commending their hard work and performance.

After creating a great buzz during the Dublin festival, Elm were invited to perform at the prestigious Other Voices festival in Dingle which they took by storm (literally, thanks to the weather). It was yet another great example of how they showcase their talent to a crowd of new fans and their adoring, existing fans alike.

With plans to release a new single and travel to North America in the new year, their latest single "Amends" getting some well-deserved radio spins and the dedication the young rockers show, we can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for Elm. You can listen to "Amends" below!

BITCH FALCON

To say it's been a big year for Bitch Falcon would be an absolute understatement. Though they started in 2014, this was the year they grabbed everyone's attention and kept it. There's no doubts or combining genres when it comes to Bitch Falcon: they are a pure rock band and everything about them makes that clear. Play one of their songs and you are immediately greeted with heavy guitars and female rock vocals that make you feel like you're front and center at a gig.

Their live shows are highly anticipated by all of their listeners as proven by this year's Irish Times Ticket Awards where they were among the top five Best Irish Acts. They topped many lists of most anticipated acts for Hard Working Class Heroes and most definitely followed through with the hype with both their HWCH and Other Voices performances. After a string of great live shows around Dublin and a year filled with hard work and amazing music, we're sure we don't need to remind you: keep your eyes and ears on Bitch Falcon!

Check out their latest single and our favorite, "TMJ" below - that chorus has been stuck in our head for months now!

CUT ONCE

After blowing away the audience at our Merry Synthmas show on Saturday, we're absolutely sure of it: Cut Once are here to stay on the electronic music scene. Duo Aisling and Michael are paired perfectly to combine show-stopping vocals and hypnotizing beats. Their self-titled EP which was released earlier this year is just a taste of what this group has to bring to the table. All five tracks on their debut extended play demand attention. They have masterfully balanced releasing a diverse showcase of all the different things they can do while maintaining a solid identity throughout.

Cut Once are finishing out a great year by opening for Kormac's Big Band on New Year's Eve at the Button Factory - we can't wait for what is shaping up to be a great end of year celebration. Watch their latest video for "Playing With Fire" which premiered on Indietronica below:

Let us know what Irish artists you've been hooked on this year in the comments below!

On their debut night of touring, they played at Dublin's iconic National Concert Hall, and on their last night of tour played a headlining gig in Cork's Crane Lane Theatre. The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshows at Vicar Street and Dolan's in Limerick were an absolute blast! With amazing guests including The Strypes, Stomptown Brass, Johnny Stewart, San Patricio Mariach Band, The Minutes and more, Jerry captivated audiences who just couldn't get enough of him! Check out some of our favorite shots of the show below:

Last night The Strypes played at Project 0 Wave Makers, a benefit concert for ocean conservation, with "Get Into It" being the benefit's slogan! And to add to our collection of your four favorite Cavan boys with giant superstars we give you... The Strypes with Ronnie Wood!

And if you haven't heard already, the Olympia show is very, very close to selling out! If you haven't got your tickets yet, put them on the Christmas list as we don't see the few that are remaining lasting very long!

We'd also like to extend an invitation to our very special Christmas event with some great Irish acts... MERRY SYNTHMAS! The show will be at Bello Bar at 9pm with live performances from Everything Shook, Cut Once and Florence Olivier along with DJ sets by Michael Pope of Le Galaxie and Ghetto Manifesto.
