Oh hi there long weekend! Are you looking for something slick to do this weekend? Well we’ve got it sussed! Check out our pick of what’s happening around the country over the next few days.
Le Galaxie and The Strypes, Samhain Festival Dublin.
Kicking off on Saturday at Weston Airport this will be the first time the hangar has ever been used as a music venue so if you’ve got your hands on a ticket for Samhain you’re in for a treat. Our favourite party animals Le Galaxie are taking to the stage on Saturday along with 2Many DJ’s and Annie Mac, while on Sunday The Strypes take to the stage with the legend that is Liam Gallagher in a line up that also features Touts. If you make it to one day or both you’re in for a treat!
Sunday is a sell out but there are still some Saturday tickets left, so grab them before they’re gone here: http://bit.ly/SamhainFestival2017
The Blizzards, Castlefest Kilkenny.
JOE.ie described it as a “hugely impressive festival” and we think they’ve hit the nail on the head! Where else are you going to catch The Blizzards, Little Hours and Chasing Abbey on the same lineup? After taking a break, The Blizzards are back and bigger than ever so this is a chance to catch them at their best! We’ve seen the setlist and know you’re in for a treat!

Kormac, The Cork Jazz Festival.
Cork has always had an incredibly vibrant music scene through the years and it’s no different now. The recent Sounds From a Safe Harbour was a roaring success and this weekend’s Jazz Festival, which at this stage is a Cork institution, is set to be no different. One of the highlights of the weekend is sure to be Kormac’s AV set in Cyprus Avenue. His shows are totally off the wall with Annie Mac describing his show as “the most bizarre setup I've ever seen, but it really works.”.

Kormac, Future Sounds Spotlight Killarney.
If you can’t make it to Cork on Saturday don’t worry Kormac has another show lined up in the south of the country this weekend this time in Killarney’s INEC on Sunday the 29th as a part of Future Sounds in association with Spin South West. Not only will Kormac be playing a insane set but Overhead, The Albatross and Daithi are also playing so you’re really getting a lot of bang for your buck!

R.S.A.G., Cork Opera House.
R.S.A.G. has done some pretty sick collaborations over his career and this time he’s pairing up for another whopper collab with King Kong Company. Playing the Cork Opera House on Sunday night, it’s sure to one of the highlights of this weekend. We would tell you to nab a ticket but they’re all sold out so if you want to get yourself to the show you’ll have to beg, borrow or steal your way in.
Bitch Falcon, Castlebar.
Bitch Falcon’s shows in The Garbo are by now legendary, so by popular demand they’re back to headline this year’s Halloween Fancy Dress Ball. We can’t think of a better way to spend the Bank Holiday Saturday than rocking out in fancy dress to one of the best live bands in the country. Bitch Falcon are a band on their way to the top, so make sure you catch them now before they’re playing stadiums!
