Comprised of sisters Maud and Zoe Ní Riordáin, Alan Connon, and Stephen Markham, Maud in Cahoots are a Dublin, Ireland based alternative pop group. Named “undisputedly one of the finest unsigned acts of the country” by Hot Press and “one of the best sets of Electric Picnic” by The Irish Times’ Una Mullaly, Maud and company are taking the Irish music scene by storm.

Formed in 2009, the group has spent the past seven years honing their craft and defining their sound. Since the release of their single “Push Me Under” by Universal Music Ireland in 2010 and their self released EP “Dance With Me” in 2013, Maud in Cahoots have cemented themselves as favorites at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions and SXSW. The Ní Riordáin sisters have been critically acclaimed for their innovative live concept album, “The Well Rested Terrorist”, which was performed live for the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2014. The performance was called “absorbing; a painstaking work, given startling execution” by Peter Crawley of the Irish Times.

Since the addition of members Markham and Connon in late 2014, Maud in Cahoots have released two singles. The first, “Greatest Achievement” was released this past April and was recently followed by their newest single,  “Cure For The Crazy” on September 25. The Last Mixed Tape cited the release of “Cure” as a “new sound [making] Maud in Cahoots… a band now at the height of their powers”.

One of the best sets of the weekend (Electric Picnic) was Maud in Cahoots….it’s been fascinating to watch that band grow, develop and morph into something truly captivating with bags of star quality

Undisputedly one of the finest unsigned acts in the country. We recommend getting on this particular bandwagon early. If they become as big as they deserve to, you may soon struggle to get tickets.
