It's been a busy December for everyone involved at CWB between the amazing run of shows all our acts have had and organizing the end of the year.
Le Galaxie are recently home from France where they performed at Transmusicales Festival in Rennes. Just on time for their French performance, they released a tribute to the victims of the recent Paris attacks: a cover version of Friendly Fire's "Paris" which you can listen to and read all about here! The guys are now gearing up for their LEGALAXMAS Tour which will hit Cork, Galway and Limerick before their big New Years Eve show. Joined by All Tvvins, Otherkin and Wyvern Lingo, Le Galaxie will perform at St. Stephen's Green as a part of NYF Streetfest! Tickets are available at ticketmaster.ie.
Kormac is also celebrating the New Year with an amazing gig at the Button Factory! Kormac and the Big Band will ring in 2016 accompanied by R.S.A.G., Tuki, and Cut Once. We can't wait to share what Kormac has in store for next year, but can tell you that we've been organizing various dates around Ireland and Europe...
Maud In Cahoots are finishing out a great year on a strong note. MiC have just wrapped up their tour supporting Delorentos. On their debut night of touring, they played at Dublin's iconic National Concert Hall, and on their last night of tour played a headlining gig in Cork's Crane Lane Theatre. Additionally, "Cure For The Crazy" was featured by Nialler9 as one of the top songs of 2015 that should have had more plays... So get to it and listen to "Cure For The Crazy" here!
The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshows at Vicar Street and Dolan's in Limerick were an absolute blast! With amazing guests including The Strypes, Stomptown Brass, Johnny Stewart, San Patricio Mariach Band, The Minutes and more, Jerry captivated audiences who just couldn't get enough of him! Check out some of our favorite shots of the show below:
Last night The Strypes played at Project 0 Wave Makers, a benefit concert for ocean conservation, with "Get Into It" being the benefit's slogan! And to add to our collection of your four favorite Cavan boys with giant superstars we give you... The Strypes with Ronnie Wood!
And if you haven't heard already, the Olympia show is very, very close to selling out! If you haven't got your tickets yet, put them on the Christmas list as we don't see the few that are remaining lasting very long!
We'd also like to extend an invitation to our very special Christmas event with some great Irish acts... MERRY SYNTHMAS! The show will be at Bello Bar at 9pm with live performances from Everything Shook, Cut Once and Florence Olivier along with DJ sets by Michael Pope of Le Galaxie and Ghetto Manifesto. Tickets are only 7 euro in advance and 10 at the door, so come celebrate the holidays and great Irish electronic music with us!
Finally, as a thank you for all the amazing support throughout the past year, we have made a donation to St. Vincent de Paul on all of your behalf! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year from everyone here at CWB... including Lego Michael Le Galaxie!
